Description: This is a charming and wonderful Antique Old Primitive American Folk Art Painted Kitty Cat Food Wood Box, approximately dating to the 1930's - 1940's. This small handmade wooden box is painted on the front with the name: "Kitty Cat," and has a painting of a cat caricature on the back with the words: "Meow Meow!" This whimsical folk art wooden cat food dish was found in the basement of a long-abandoned factory in Los Angeles, California, along with some old machinery equipment and tools which dated to the 30's - 40's. This box was probably made for the stray cat who roamed around the factory, and it is touching and sweet that some worker there made this little food box for them. I bet this little primitive artwork could tell a lot of stories. Approximately 9 inches wide x 9 inches deep x 5 3/4 inches tall. This piece is in good condition for age and use, with an honest old patina of edge wear, wood-splitting, scuffing, chipping, soiling, etc. If you like what you see, I encourage you to make an Offer.
