Description: ANTIQUE & ORNATE CASE WITH A RELIC OF ST.VINCENT DE PAUL - FRENCH PRIEST Antique and ornate French reliquary case 3 inches wide by 2,5 inches high (8cm by 6cm) which contains a relic of Saint Vincent de Paul (1581-1660) French priest dedicated to serving the poor, founder of the " Daughters of Charity " and the " Congregation of the Mission ". Canonized in 1737.Fine golden brass cast metal case decorated on front with a portrait of saint and his initials, roses, leaves and flowery designs. The interior compartment is under glass on a white cloth background. The relic is placed on a dark green backing above the name label which reads " S.Vincent de Paul ".The brass back case cover can be removed to view the red string seals and an official red wax Church seal with Bishop's coat of arms stem to certify the authenticity of the relic. All are in place and intact.Ornate antique reliquary in excellent condition with minor signs of age and wear. With hanging hook on back.
