Description: Antique Peters Weatherbird Shoes Advertising Doll (Cowboy). The Peters Shoe Company, established in 1892 by Henry William Peters of St. Louis,used the original Weatherbird image for promotions from 1907 to 1932. The company gave advertising gifts as promotional items with these 2.5" porcelain dolls being one of them. This cute little fella as you can see in the pictures has areas of thinning and worn paint. He's old and rare but in good condition considering age. There aren't too many of these around but from the very few I've seen, this little guy seems to be in better shape than others.
