Fine antique handwritten letter dated Paris 1884 signed by the Prince of Wales later King Edward VII thanking her for her letter of condolences upon the tragic and sudden death of his brother Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany (1853-1884), who had suddenly died from a fall whilst convalescing in Cannes - he had inherited haemophilia from his mother, addressed to his supposed one time mistress Mrs Spencer accompanied by its original envelope also handwritten and posted and with his personal black wax seal on the back flap.
