Now for the Good Part---I am Pleased to offer this Authentic Original Antique Glass Cork-Top Whiskey Flask Bottle from Paducah, Kentucky. This is NOT a Repro comes from a Long-Time Collection. It is from the late 1800's to early 1900's and it was dug in Vicksburg, Mississippi. This Particular Brand was Very Controversial until its Production was stopped. It was Noted to be a Sexual Stimulant or Aphrodisiac. There were Advertising Trade Cards, Label and other Advertisements showing Sexual Provocative Images. There was a Young White Girl attacked and killed by a Black Man in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1905 by someone drunk on this. It was Even sung about by Blue's Signer Roosevelt "Honeydripper" Sykes in his song, "Devil's Island Gin Blues". The Bottle has a Great Look with Fancy Embossed Drapes or Petals at Shoulders and Near Bottom. This was Distilled and Sold by: Dreyfuss Weil & Company, Paducah, Kentucky. I would say that this is a Half Pint Size...it stands about 8 3/4 inches tall. It is Blown in Mold. It Embossed in Large Heavy Letters: DEVIL'S ISLAND---ENDURANCE GIN. It has some light haze.
