Description: This early, American, primitive, half melon, woven, wall basket is a beautiful piece and in spite of its age it is in incredible condition. The basket is woven of wide wood reed and crafted in the United States. The basket is is designed in a half moon shape, a flat back to lie against a wall and a bowed front to hold whatever you desire. The color that it is finished in is a natural brown finish. There is a nice thick reed handle for easy carrying and hanging. This primitive basket is nicely hand woven. Given its age it is in very good condition. There are a couple of broken reeds that I’ve included pictures of . The basket measures approximately 10” wide 9 1/2” from base to top of handle and 6” deep. Please refer to all pictures as they are considered part of the complete description. **Please forgive the shadows that appear as stain marks. It was difficult trying to finding a decent place to take pictures in the type of lighting of day.
