Description: For your consideration is a rare antique tea cup and saucer from importersLewis Straus & Sons New York who owned and operated a porcelain factoryin Limoges, France. The blue stamp puts the date of this set from 1891-1920. The design is so unique. The cup is generous with many tiny scallopedfeet which fit snugly into the unique saucer designed in the same fashion.The saucer also has a raised design along the border which is unusual. The saucer measures 5 5/8" across. The cup stands 2 1/2" tall with an openingof 3 3/8" across. It is a soft green accented with hand painted pink florals withmany detailed gold gilt accents. It has been beautifully painted. It is in goodcondition for age. The bottom of saucer has a few flea bites and a hairlinethat does not show through to the upside.
