ANTIQUE ROUND REDDISH-BROWN WINDSOR EYEGLASSES *With Case and Lenses* 1920s?

Description: ITEM: Cool antique pair of Windsor style eyeglasses and their accompanying case. I believe these are from the mid-1910s or into the 1920s. These were acquired from a descendant of the former owner, and one thinks they originated together also. The glasses still have their original lenses fitted in them. Glasses are unmarked. I believe these are plastic (as opposed to Bakelite), as they failed the smell test and simply don't feel like Bakelite. they are reddish-brown in color, perhaps faded from what was once black. They measure 4.75" across; 8.5" deep, from front of frame to end of earpiece; and the lenses are 1.75" in diameter, including frame. Case is very unusual in shape. It was embossed at one time, though much of it has worn off. One can still see sort of a borderline, and there is also a small upside-down triangle mark at the bottom of both sides of the case. GLASSES: General wear commensurate with age. Perhaps fading. Earpieces are loose, and the pins holding them on probably need to be replaced. The left arm shows some misshapenness, likely from conforming to the head shape of the former owner. Lenses show some light marks but are in pretty good shape overall. CASE: Case shows general wear and abrasions commensurate with age. Some light peeling to covering. Velvet interior is intact though flattened/compressed.
