Description: Beautiful Royal Vienna style portrait pitcher depicting a woman with a king and child. We do not believe this is true bindenschild Royal Vienna but rather one of the manufacturers that were granted the use of the Royal Vienna name by the Hapsburg royal family after the Imperial & Royal Porcelain Manufactory went out of business in 1864. These manufacturers still made beautiful handmade and painted porcelain pieces in the style of the originals as seen with this example. This pitcher is one of the finest examples from these manufacturers that we have ever seen. The painting itself is beautiful and pictures truly do not do it justice. The gilt work is extensive and delicate. It measures 11" x 8" x 4". The pitcher is in great condition, with some paint loss on the handle as pictured. There is some gilt loss on the inside of the pitcher mouth and there is a minor chip there as well as pictured.
