In search of appropriate motifs, he traveled through the interior of both European and Asian Russia every year, and Algeria in 1883.Evgeny Ivanovich Naps (b.? - d.?) was a self-taught sculptor, restorer, draftsman and painter. In St. Petersburg he was engaged in the restoration of porcelain, small plastics and bronze sculpture for antique dealers and collectors. He created small copies and variations of the works of Russian sculptors for the capital factories producing bronze sculpture.
