Description: Antique SAD Iron w/Detachable Wood Handle / The AC Williams Co, Ravenna, OHIO. There is a crack in the handle; however, it does not separate or cause the handle to come apart. You can still lift the iron by the handle, but because of it's age, I certainly wouldn't swing it around. The center round knob has gouges in the wood. This is an old piece of history......the wear (bumps & bruises) only adds to the charm and tells a distint tale of its age. The freight for this item calculated high (in my opinion) Not sure if it because it weights approximately 7 #'s. Once I ship out, if I can get a better rate, I will refund you the difference.
