Description: Antique Scale With 1942 California Agriculture Weights And Measurements Seal. This scale was being used when many California Japanese farmers were interned and many of the farms owned by Japanese were confiscated with forced sales of the farms. This is an interesting and significant historical item that was being used in that place and time of our history. Scale is not perfectly balanced and would require some maintenance and calibration to work as intended. Glass is original with glass bubbles typical in old glass as shown in photo.
