Description: This is a wonderfully rustic Antique Primitive Seated Wood Buddha Figure from the Shan State in Burma / Border of Thailand. This piece was purchased in Bangkok in the early 1970's by my father who was an antique dealer in Penang, Malaysia at the time. The estimated age of this figure dates from the late 18th Century. He was was an avid collector of Wood Buddhas and actively pursued the best examples he could find from reputable dealers in Bangkok. This is a particularly nice example. The Buddha figure has particularly elongated hands & fingers. Please review the pictures closely in regards to the overall condition of this Buddha figure.
