Description: Antique Signed Print 'Hope' by George F. Watts published Morris & Bendien N.Y.Hand signed and titled in pencil, "Hope" by George Frederic Watts. An early print by publishers Morris and Bendien, New York who were active from about 1900 to 1940. Subject print is 8" x 12". Original Art Nouveau period wood frame with black and gold design is about 15.5" x 21.5". Framed and matted under anti-glare glass. The original Painting, "Hope" was by the artist George Frederic Watts (1817 - 1904), English, circa 1886. Watts dies in 1904. Morris and Bendien began printing around 1900, so it is possible that Watts signed the print. Signature has not been authenticated. Very good condition. Some slight chipping and age toning. The paint is chipping in a few small areas on the frame.
