Description: This is a very hard-to-find Singer VS2 with a fiddle base and beautiful, nearly-perfect Victorian decals. The machine has been thoroughly cleaned, oiled, polished, and adjusted where necessary. The cabinet has been refurbished and the brass drawer pulls are polished. The coffin top is solid and intact. Everything works on this sewing machine, from the bobbin winder to the stitch length regulator, which is almost always frozen on these older machines. The serial number puts its year of manufacture at 1891 - the last year that the VS2's were produced, making way for the 27's. The puzzle box full of original attachments is almost complete (see photos). All attachments are clean and work perfectly. A leather treadle belt is included. There will be no nasty surprises when you unpack your gorgeous Victorian sewing machine and set it up in your parlor. We put the work into them so that you don't have to do a thing - just take a seat and sew! SHIPPINGCoffin top treadle sewing machines are disassembled and shipped in five separate boxes. A flat head screwdriver is needed for assembly. They are packed very carefully as wrought iron is as brittle as a cracker, and shippers are notoriously rough on the packages. It is impossible to cut corners in packing. Buyers must be present to sign off on the delivery. Pick up in person is welcome and encouraged if possible! We are able to deliver the machine ourselves over most of the Northeast for a nominal fee. PLEASE NOTE: We will be away from Nov. 19 - Dec.9. You are welcome to purchase any of our listings but we will be unable to ship between and including those dates. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - thank you.
