Description: Antique Staffordshire Pearlware Chinoiserie FIG TREE Transfer Pitcher or Jug, England, c. 1800 - 1810. This is a very early and attractive pitcher or jug with a blue and white chinoiserie transfer scene of Chinese buildings with fig trees. The very early pitcher has a deep blue - green pooling to the pottery body, which can be seen from the base. This is unmarked but dates to the early 19th century. This has a strong provenace. It has a sticker on the underside of the base that reads, "ZELLER COLLECTION - J131 - FIG TREE CHINOISERIE." This also has a price tag on the handle with a price of $800!!! I offer this early Chinoiserie Fig Tree pattern jug with no reserve and a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The Staffordshire pitcher is about 8 1/2" H. x 5 7/16" W. x 8 7/16" L. from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle.
