Description: Antique Staffordshire Pink Transferware 19 Inch Platter Chinese Juvenile Sports For sale is this large, fine antique Staffordshire red / pink transfer earthenware platter in the "Chinese Juvenile Sports" pattern, a finely printed multi-motif pattern showing exotic Chinese children at play in various scenes and colors Also sometimes known as "Top Whipping" from one of the scenes portrayed. The platter dates to circa 1830. The maker of this series has not been identified, even though the initial "B" is included on the cartouche backstamp. This large platter measures 19 1/4 inches long by 15 inches wide and weighs approximately 7 lbs (shipping weight 12 lbs). Condition: Very Good. Little wear, save for a few small utensil marks in the center, and a light rim scrape as shown. Please view the detail photos. Domestic shipping is $24.95.
