The fine sterling metal mesh rings are closed or soldered. The body has several missing links throughout. Where the mesh connects to the frame on either side of the hinges, the mesh has pulled away. See close-up pics. The classic, plain frame has rounded edges and fits flush. Tight & secure kiss lock closure with abraded blue glass beaded ends. The cable oval & round link chain handle has a 7" drop. Hallmarked Sterling Silver on the inside of frame. Frame, mesh & chain tested with JSP silver acid solution for verification of purity, tests positive. Heavy patina noted throughout. The purse measures approximately 5" in length from frame top to mesh bottom and 5" from hinge to hinge. Total weight is approximately 150g. My jewelry scale weighs to 100g so, this was weighed on my postal scales. Weight could be + or – 1g.
