Description: Antique early 20th Century sterling silver compact dance powder coin purse. Script initials CKH on lid. Opens with latch. Upper cabinet clip has "STERLING" and "1232" impressed, also possible maker's symbol that I can't decipher. Securely closing frame on the lower half, just above the coin holders, reads "PAT APPLIED FOR". 14LE 54 is very lightly etched just below the spring loaded clip: too small to photograph. Interior appears to be age appropriate gold wash but I have not had it tested. The back side has some valleys, dings and light scratches that do not affect the use. The handle links appear tarnished but I could not see any silver or other markings. Purse body is 3.5" x 2.5" x .5". Chain is about 11" long. Total weight including the chain is 48 grams. The entire purse needs polishing.
