Madison is the shape of the Thompson’s company plates. The C.C. Thompson Pottery, named after Cassius C. Thompson, operated in East Liverpool, Ohio from 1868 until 1938. Like many other potteries in the late 1800s, they produced Rockingham and yellowware and later semi-porcelain dinnerware.
