Description: Antique Trench Art Ashtray - 1944 Up for your consideration is a beautiful handmade Antique WWII Trench Art Ashtray that appears to have been made in 1944. Item is made from scrapped and / or non-functional antique shell casings. Constructed of brass & copper using pieces of relic shell casings and accented with (2) Wilhelmina Koningin Der Nederlanden $ .25 pieces bearing the date of 1944. The genuine coins are mounted as the focal point on each side of the ashtray on what has been designed as being a metal match book holder. Overall dimensions is 4 1/2" in diameter and 6 1/4" tall. Upon completing our inspection of this piece no broken and / or missing pieces were found. Everything appeared to be intact and nothing was noticed that would interfere with it being a great display and / or conversation piece. See photos for more detail regarding item's overall condition.
