The carriage assembly folds over the keyboard (resting on two braces to keep it off the keys) to make the typewriter shallower for portability. Features:Typeface is ALL UPPER-CASE ITALIC, Elite (~12 characters/inch)German keyboard and type (includes keys/type for German characters Ä, Ö, Ü, and ß.
