Description: For auction is an antique Victorian era metal wall mount lift top mailbox with a very strange but cool mythical creature designed front. Various measurements and weight are pictured. This was the original mailbox that came off of a turn of the century 3 story home built right up the hill a couple blocks behind St Vincent’s hospital on Birmingham Alabama’s south side. It’s been painted several times over the years and has minor rust. It shows normal age one may expect from a piece this old. It’s still surprisingly solid and sturdy, the top hinges well.
