Description: Very unusual and rarely seen, this original Victorian Egg Poacher is a deluxe version - it is silver-soldered silverplate with a mahogany handle and a patent spring arrangement for easy use. The drain holes are pierced in a multi-star pattern - the details make this piece. It will produce round poached eggs, perfect for a stacked eggs benedict. Marked "silver soldered" on the back with a "G" mark inside a circle. Sized 12" long overall, with a 2 1/2" diameter on the egg ring. This Victorian poacher has not been cleaned or polished, just rinsed, and is in as-found condition. It should be cleaned if the buyer plans to use it for making eggs, left to buyer if desired. Displays beautifully. Some color variation with light surface tarnish and oxidation, as shown. No damage, breaks, bends or corrosion. Kitc Draw
