Description: Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Compact Case Purse Coin Wallet with Chain. Gorgeous antique purse includes US dime from 1898, presumably from around when this purse was used. Has a bill holder compartment, powder/makeup compact compartment, two slots for nickels and dimes. Push button clasp and hinge are in excellent working condition. Chain still looks amazing and feels very sturdy. Has swirl and floral etching. Custom engraving on back appears to read "CHS" initials. Unable to make out initials on front. Please see photos for best condition description. Scratches, dents, or fading of paint are visible but add to the charm of this antique piece. The decorative support is marked "Sterling, 5494" with maker's trademark stamp "JEB Co.". The James E. Blake Co. of Attleboro MA was in business from 1880-1936.
