Description: Antique/vintage men’s Renaissance style coat. Button front opening with brass three-quarter inch buttons, the sleeves are porous sleeves from the shoulder to the elbow, and the silk interior is basically shredded. The jacket is made of a dark red or rust colored velvet. There is metal thread embroidery lining the jacket. Each sleeve is a darned with a classic lace around the wrist. All the measurements are listed. There are no formal tags as I believe this is handmade for either theater or costume. Some of the velvet is loss on the back as shown this jacket is in poor to fair condition. It’s very old. The bottom button is missing and the top button is not attached, but is with the jacket. This jacket needs to be dry cleaned. It’s been in storage for many many years.
