Description: This great antique ceiling light is fresh from a local estate. It has been restored with a rich hand painted antique brass finish, rewired, and given a new crossbar for easy installation to a modern electrical box. Now it is ready for a new home! In total, this fixture measures about 8” wide by 9" tall. As you can see, it is in good shape for its age, with some minor roughness to the casting. The shade is in good condition as well with some light wear but no cracks, chips, etc. The sand textured finish on the bottom of the shade looks to have been made in a similar manner to coralene glass, by baking a layer of tiny glass beads onto the surface. This is an unusual technique, rarely seen on lamp shades, and a sign of high-quality glass manufacturing. Please see all photos. Shipped with great care.
