Description: Thrifting find. Heavy, primitive cast metal wall mount bell, with a hen, rooster, or chicken motif. I believe it's original and not reproduction, circa 1920s or 30s. I'm unsure of the type of metal but it may be cast iron. The entire thing is rusty, with blue-green patina. There is damage - the ornate scrolled area has a piece broken off at the bottom as shown in the photos. About 11" tall, 3" wide and would extend about 10" from the mounted surface. Bell is attached with a screw and nut and rings loud and clear. The number 8 is stamped into the bell, and the number 2 is stamped onto the scrolled back. A very cool, rustic and authentic addition to your retro, farmhouse, primitive, or cottage decor. Please take a look at the photos, and let me know if you have any questions.
