Description: Antique Wedgwood John Hancock House - Boston - Blue - Souvenir Historical Plate MASSACHUSETTS COLLECTOR PLATE 9 1/4" Diameter The blue and white plate is decorated with an image of John Hancock’s house in Boston surrounded by a rose & foliage border. According to the inscription, on the back of the plate, the house was built in 1737 and demolished in 1863. The back of the plate is incised "Wedgwood" and has a date code for 1920 (an incised W). The plate is also stamped with the following: 1) a circular "Sole Importers : Jones McDuffee & Stratton" mark; 2) Wedgwood, Etruria, England; and, 3) a copyright date of 1899. The plate is in excellent condition with no repairs, chips, cracks or stains. Shipped with USPS to addresses in the US only.
