Description: This is an Antique WHITES UTICA Blue STONEWARE 3-Qt HUNTING Scene BUTTER CROCK This Molded Butter Crock by Whites of Utica, New York featuring a Stag Hunt. Made between 1890 and 1907 when Whites made its fabulous molded stoneware, this beauty features a Two Hunters with their Trophy Stag on One Side and Two Stags Who Escaped on the Other. Detailed trees and grass provide the background. The lid repeats the grass background along with four additional stags. The base measures 5" tall and 8" wide. There are six sizes to this series: 1 to 6 pound. This is the No. 3 which is difficult to find, and this one even has very sharp details and mold lines. Fair Condition. The base has a tight hairline approximately 3”. It also has a 1” spider hairline. Otherwise as made. The lid has an 1/8" nibble under the rim Otherwise as made. Please see all photos
