Description: Rare and Gorgeous W & W Co (William Wood) Burslem English Imari Earthenware EPNS Silver Rim Serving Bowl and Matching Serving Utensils ca. 1906 Very rare to find the original serving pieces together with the bowl - likely a salad bowl The bowl has a beautiful imari pattern with deep cobalt. Raised design on the top, middle and bottom of the porcelain. The silver plate rim is marked "EPNS" - it does have an opening and can be lifted off the bowl in that location. IT has typical crazing - mostly visible on the inside and the bottom (where the porcelian is cream colored). The bowl measures 9" wide (opening is 7-1/4") by 4.5" high. No chips or cracks. The serving utensils (fork and spoon) are original to and match the bowl. They are 10.75" long - same motif and raised designs - and marked EPNS on the silver. You never see these with matching utensils. On the bottom is the W&W Co pretzel under the crown mark, a registry number of 491041 (this is for the date 1906) and in ink "B747".
