Description: For your consideration is a wood, old tribal figure with unique carving. This figure was purchased from a Chicago area estate over twenty years ago. It is approximately 21 inches tall and almost seven inches wide. There are multiple breaks in the wood on the sides of the figure, and there is a repair to one of the appendages on the side of the statue. The patina is beautiful and aged. I acquired it in the condition shown. At first I was lead to believe that it was an African roof ornament, but after some detective work, it looks like it is more aboriginal New Guinea.
