Description: For sale is an American Made Woodside Sterling Silver Victorian Hat Brush. Made in NY circa 1896-1925.This little gem is a bit smaller than most measuring 5.5" high by 3" across. The bristles are 2.5" long. The handle is Marked with a W inside a closed wreath, then STERLING 871. I find no dents or dings in the sterling and neither side is monogramed. As expected the piece has minor scratching. The horse hair brush has a reddish brown spot on one side. I did not try to remove the spot and gave the piece a gentle polish. The Woodside Sterling Company was located at 192 Broadway NY, NY. All in all, a very nice collectible.Please email any questions and thank you for looking.
