Description: Antique Wool Comb Carder, Wooden Primitive Carder Tool for Processing Wool, Farmhouse Rustic Home This primitive antique hand made rustic iron and wood hatchel carder comb was made by hand from a solid piece of natural wood, nailed tin top and bottom bracket to hold together and hand inserted sharp metal teeth. This is an antique handmade wooden farm tool for wool processing made well over 160 years ago. Measures 8-3/4” in length x 4-3/4” in width. Metal teeth measure ¼” tall. Condition is very good for its age, one broken tooth with wear from use. I have not cleaned or altered in any way. As found from an old country farmhouse estate auction in Western New York state. Needs a good cleaning with decades of dust. You can hang on a wall and use as decoration with your other country items.
