Description: This listing is for an early antique iron and brass clipped skimmer edge taster with a hook shaped end. It has copper rivets for attaching the brass bowl to the iron handle. This taster is one of several early utensils and antique items found in a local estate. The taster is 9-1/8” long in overall length, brass bowl is 1-1/2” wide at the widest part, flat part of handle tapers from 1/2” wide to 1/4” in diameter at the bowl. CONDITION: in as found condition with no break, cracks or repairs, brass is tarnished and some rust is on the iron on the back of the bowl. Iron handle has not been cleaned of past residue and did not find any markings as to the maker. Hook is in original shape not bent. This piece is worthy of any utensil or kitchen item collection.
