The Company offered these gift boxes, with calendars, annually as an advertising item with a different cover and a quote from various English writers at the bottom of the front box cover. 1909’s quote was ‘Gold that buys health can never be spent, Nor hours laid out in harmless merriment’ by John Webster, an English dramatist. Pre-owned. Good vintage condition. Cover image has held its color. Cover is worn around edges with some faint water spots and marks. Both top and bottom of box have paper repairs to them.
