Description: Antique Vintage Pin Cushion Doll, 1920s or 30s Art Deco period, Painted Chalkware with Silk Velvet, and Silk Ribbon, Shabby/Magnolia Pearl style, perhaps a little spooky! She's a close relation to a Boudoir Doll and to a Half Doll. I don't know where this Pin Cushion Doll was made but she seems very Parisienne in spirit. I think she is supposed to be an Apache Dancer (where the dancers pretend to slap each other around)--they usually wore a Beret and a scarf--or possibly she's a Pierette. She sports ruby lips and a very smoky eye and 1920s/30s long thin brows. She seems rather melancholy or resigned somehow, maybe because of the antique straight pins stuck in her pin cushion! Pin Cushion Doll measures 4 and three-quarters inches high and 3 inches across. I think she's fabulous. Please see photos, read everything and let me know if you have questions. Thank you!
