Description: Archie Eason Vintage Black Designer Hat Archie Eason designed hats for many of Hollywood’s stars. His trademark was a green sequin visible on all his creations. This hat also has a large label with Eason’s name as well as the initials “A” and ”E” ssewn on the underside. In my photos you will see these markings as well as the beauty of this hat. Body is velvet or velvet-like material and lining is of a tight weave sturdy fabric, also black. Notice the beautiful black bead work circling the hat. I believe the hat to be vintage 1950’s or early 60’s. I might categorize this as a cocktail hat. Whatever kind of hat it is, it is stunning. I’d say it could be worn straight or cocked on head. Tips extending downward on each side assist in holding hat in place The hat is in excellent condition. I really don’t see any flaws. FYI, this hat is a black black though it isn’t evident in all the photos. There’s no size on the hat so I’ve listed inside measurements from the rims. Front to back————- 6 inside Side to side—————- 6 1/4 inches Inside circumference—- about 19 inchesBetween the side tips that assist holding hat on - about 7 inches Note: these two side tips have some give in them.
