However, it has never been wound more than a full turn so as not to spring it by going too far. And this was just to check working condition. The song it plays is Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The actual jewelry box itself is numbered on the bottom with a black marker bearing the number 01706. Absolutely no blemishes, chips, cracks, or mars could I find on this beautiful piece. IT IS TINY! I WAS SURPRISED AT HOW SMALL IT WAS WHEN I GOT IT!! It measures only 5" x 2" x 2.25" high with the lid on.
