It is used for medicine in certain cultures. These grow well in containers with something to grow up. It can grow to around 10 feet long. The leaves are oval to oblong with a pointed tip. The flowers are 2-3 inches long in a pitcher shape with a purple-brown tongue. It loves to grow in the full sun with well-drained soil. Zones 9-11 Germination Sow seeds the thickness of the seeds on top of the medium and lightly cover with soil. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover with plastic and keep temperatures around 65-75F. Germination is in 7-60 days.
