Armando Diaz Italian General & Marshal of Italy WW I Commander Signed Autograph

Description: Armando Diaz, 1st Duke della Vittoria [1861 1928] was a Italian general and a Marshal of Italy who served as Chief of Staff of Regio Esercito during World War I and stopped the Austro-Hungarian advance during the First Battle of Monte Grappa. In June of 1918, he led the Italian forces to a major victory at the Second Battle of Piave River. Later the same year he achieved a decisive victory in the Battle of Vittorio Vento, which ended the war on the Italian Front. Diaz was considered as one of the greatest generals of the war and later served as the Minister of War from 1922 - 1924. Listed for auction is the autograph of general Armando Diaz signed on a page. The autograph is signed ''General A. Diaz New York 5.XI 1921'' in black fountain pen. The page measures 7.25 x 9.25 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition. The autograph of general Diaz is not common, the autograph is authentic and is a nice example of this prominent Italian World War commander.
