Acquired from the original owner by the current owner. Armando Morales Riveron was a puppeteer, painter, designer, and artistic director of Cuban puppet theater. He was the founder of the National Puppet Theater (Teatro Nacional de Guiñol). He became one of the leading figures in the field of contemporary Cuban theater. He studied at the Superior School of Arts and Crafts in Havana and at the Integration and Plastic Workshop of the Department of Fine Arts in 1961. He was a student of the Academy of Dramatic Art in Havana, and in 1961, he joined the National Puppet Theater of Cuba, led by the Camejo brothers, Carucha and Pepe. This experience was pivotal in his training for puppetry expression. The multifaceted Armando Morales was a part of the Cuban Optical Art Group, created in 1979 and also composed of Ernesto Briel, Helena Serrano, and Jorge Fornés. His artistic work, including his stage designs and puppets, has been exhibited on numerous occasions in various formats and spaces, such as the prestigious Obraztsov Puppet Museum in Moscow in 1981 and the Prague Quadrennial Exhibition in 1983. Adquirido del propietario original por el propietario. Armando Morales Riveron fue un actor titiritero, pintor diseñador y director artístico del teatro de títeres cubano. Fundador del Teatro Nacional de Guiñol. Se convirtió en una de las principales figuras de la especialidad en el teatro cubano contemporáneo. Cursó estudios en la Escuela Superior de Artes y Oficios de La Habana y en el Taller de Integración y Plástica del Departamento de Bellas Artes en 1961. Fue alumno de la Academia de Arte Dramático de La Habana y desde allí se integró, en 1961, al Guiñol Nacional de Cuba, liderado por los hermanos Carucha y Pepe Camejo, experiencia que culminó su preparación para el ejercicio de la expresión titiritera. El multifacético Armando Morales formó parte de El Grupo Cubano de Arte Óptico, creado en 1979 e integrado además por Ernesto Briel, Helena Serrano y Jorge Fornés. Su obra plástica, de la cual son parte esencial sus diseños para la escena y sus títeres, ha sido expuesta en numerosas ocasiones en los más disímiles formatos y espacios como el prestigioso Museo Obratzov de Moscú en 1981 y la Exposición Cuatrienal de Praga en 1983. Su ingente labor le proporcionó numerosos reconocimientos de muy diversa índole, entre ellos, premios otorgados por la crítica teatral y por variadas instituciones nacionales.
