Description: Presented is a wonderful Alvin sterling silver serving scoop or spoon. This piece is made in the lovely Orange Blossom pattern, which began production in 1905. As the name suggests, this pattern features beautiful raised floral decoration in the form of orange blossoms, done in an elegant flowing Art Nouveau style highly typical of the time to which the pattern dates. This particular serving spoon is an old production piece, likely dating to within a decade of the pattern's start date. The floral decoration appears on both the front and back of the handle, as well as on the interior of the bowl at the top. The server has a decoratively scalloped bowl, with a gold wash and matte finish. The handle has a monogram of H on the front. This piece is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is stamped with the Alvin maker's mark as well as sterling and patent. The server is about 9 1/4 inches long. This piece weighs 109 grams or 3.8 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
