I want to help you know exactly what you are bidding on.About this Item: A superb antique/vintage Art Nouveau glass shade made by Vianne. This hand-made art glass shade is truly magnificent with flowing Art Nouveau lines and an exquisite acid-etched Lilly motif. The shade has a champagne/gold colored ruffle rim. The shade is signed with an etched: "Vianne". This wonderful glass was imported into the United States from Southern France where artisans made them by hand. Vianne Glass was founded in 1928 in the Bordeaux region and was the last remaining glass-blowing factory in France. Sadly, Vianne shut down several years ago, which has resulted in these beautiful shades becoming rare and much sought-after. I purchased this over 25 years ago directly from the factory for a project that I never got around to and it has sat in a closet ever since. The shade is about 6 3/4" tall, 5" at its widest point and and has a 2 1/8" fitter opening (it would fit a 2 1/4" fitter) Shipping/Selling Notes: 1) I will take great care in carefully packing your item to ensure it arrives safely 2) I'm happy to combine shipping.
