Description: A limited edition signed aquatint etching by Contemporary British listed artist Anthony Dyson PhD, RE. A beautiful and complex depiction of a painter working on a painting of the Holy Mother and Child on the ceiling of a religious building. He is pictured balancing on the shoulders of an angel who is in turn standing on a ladder. His tray of equipment is in front of her and she is pointing to his sketch plan of the painting as he paints in a star. Perhaps the angel represents his inspiration or his aspiration. Small figures can be seen looking up from the chequered floor way below. Titled 'Aspiration', numbered 27 of an edition of 200 and hand signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right margin. Printed on white wove paper and in excellent original condition. Not dated but estimated to be around 2000. Well presented with a white card mount within a wooden frame. The mount is in excellent condition, the frame has small signs of wear but remains very presentable. Glazed and ready to hang. Measures 46 x 28.5cm including the frame, the plate only is 23.5 x 7.5cm. Postage £7 in the UK, £22 to mainland Europe and £44 to the USA. Anthony Dyson is an artist, printmaker and author.
