Description: Assembled Athearn "Blue Box" HO scale Southern Pacific (SP) EMD SD 40T-2 "tunnel motor" Locomotive painted in the SP gray & red "bloody nose" scheme. Athearn item number # 4501. The locomotive number is # 8352. It has Kadee couplers screw mounted to the frame. The Athearn internal light assembly has been removed. There is some corrosion on internal steel parts that doesn't seem to affect its operation. The locomotive has never been run, only oiled and tested. It runs well.
