This lamp has the weighed reel and is functioning correctly. The ceiling cap has the original hook in the center for hanging from a ceiling box, The chains can be adjusted for the correct height. The shade measures 13 1/2" across the bottom the entire lamp hangs down approximately 35" and is 12" across the copper frame. The lamp will be partially disassembled for shipping
