A fine example featuring good form, symmetry and balance throughout. The head is that of idealised female Mangbetu beauty. There is a handle to rear. Feature are realistic and fine. Some chips and scuffs as is unavoidable with Terracotta. We have attempted to show them in our pictures. We have had this item with us for around fifteen years and believe it is older than five decades from provenance information gathered when we original obtained it. Overall, the Vase is in excellent collector condition. A beautiful, considerable and significant tribal treasure that will be packed very well to prevent damage in transit.
