Based on the aesthetic and discursive characteristics of the piece, it is attributed to Manuel Alcaide, although it is not signed. Alcaide is a creator and teacher of generations of Cuban visual artists, and has worked in painting, sculpture, and installation art. He received his training at the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. In a text from Art Nexus #30 (1999), Erena Hernandez wrote, "His works possess a sense of flavor after the fine finish and concern for details that reflect the Russian academy where he studied, but do not deny his debt to the generation of young artists from the National Art School of Havana who have rescued art in the country, and with whom he shares a sense of imagination and fantasy."
