Audio Technica AT231LP Cartridge with Stylus, Hardware, Instructions. Looks New.

Description: This Audio-Technica AT231LP looks new in the box. Some Audio-Technica instructions/specifications, as well as the mounting hardware, are included. It has a P-mount, and is said to come with a Linear Contact Diamond Stylus (ATN 231LP). It is very highly-regarded by the audiophile community. I got this from an audio/video production house many years ago. It looks like all the sheets and mounting accessories are there. It has never been used or tested “to the best of my knowledge.” However, I have listed it as “open box” because of the lack of history of the item, and have priced it accordingly. The connections "look" new as does the stylus. I did not want to try to remove the mounting bracket to show the name “AT231LP” clearly, but I can see it with a magnifying glass, and I took a photo of as much as I could see. I shot the cartridge from every possible angle to show the condition of the connections and the stylus (they all look new). See all the cartridge/stylus photos. It looks like somebody had the accessories stuck to the platform with Scotch tape to prevent them from moving. Somehow that left a stain on one side of the cartridge. See the first photo with the arrow. The cardboard box and the plastic box cover have some scuffs. There is Scotch tape cosmetic residue on the platform where somebody tried to keep things from moving. There are two pieces of Scotch tape still there: one is right side up and one is facing down.
